Flight or Train — Which Is Better from Delhi?

For most Delhi travellers a flight to Bagdogra is the practical choice — around 2 hours versus 20+ hours by train, leaving more days for the mountains. Trains to NJP suit those who prefer rail travel or are travelling on a tighter budget. Since our packages begin at Bagdogra/NJP, you're free to choose whichever suits you; we can also advise on timing so your pickup lines up perfectly.

Fly Delhi → Bagdogra (around 2 hours, daily direct flights), then it's a 4-hour drive to Gangtok — included in our package with private cab pickup. Alternatively, take a train to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) and we'll pick you up there.

Because of the travel distance, 6–7 days is ideal so the trip feels worthwhile — enough for Gangtok plus North Sikkim or Pelling. If you can spare 9–10 days, combine Sikkim with Darjeeling.
