Meghalaya tour package Shillong Cherrapunji Dawki living root bridges

Meghalaya Tour Package

Living root bridges, the crystal-clear Dawki river, Asia's cleanest village & Cherrapunji's waterfalls — the abode of clouds, planned end to end.

Meghalaya — India's Most Beautiful Secret Is Out

Meghalaya, the "abode of clouds", has become the Northeast's most talked-about destination — and for good reason. Think double-decker living root bridges in Nongriat, the boats that seem to float on the glass-clear Dawki (Umngot) river, Mawlynnong (Asia's cleanest village), and the roaring waterfalls of Cherrapunji. AU Cloud Tours Pvt. Ltd. plans the entire circuit with comfortable stays and an experienced hill driver.

Our Meghalaya tour packages start from Guwahati airport/railway station and cover Shillong, Cherrapunji, Dawki, Mawlynnong and the scenic drives between — with hotels, private cab, sightseeing and 24/7 support included.

Best Time to Visit Meghalaya

October–April is ideal — clear skies, pleasant days and safe river boating at Dawki. Visit in June–September if you want the waterfalls of Cherrapunji at their thundering, monsoon-fed best (though roads and treks get slippery). We plan the route around the season you choose.

Frequently Asked Questions

The gateway is Guwahati (Assam) — well connected by flights and trains from across India. From Guwahati, Shillong is a scenic 3-hour drive. Our package includes pickup from Guwahati airport or railway station.

4 days covers Shillong and Cherrapunji. 5–6 days lets you add Dawki, Mawlynnong and the root-bridge trek comfortably. 6–7 days is ideal if you also want Kaziranga in Assam.

No Inner Line Permit is required for Meghalaya for Indian citizens. Carry a government photo ID for hotel check-ins and the Dawki border area near Bangladesh.

In the dry season (roughly November–April) the Umngot river at Dawki runs famously crystal-clear, and boats appear to float in mid-air. During and just after the monsoon the water turns greenish from runoff, so time your visit for winter/spring for the iconic view.
