  Day 1: Arrival and Stay at Phuentsholing

  Reach Phuentsholing from Siliguri/NJP/Bagdogra. This is Bhutan's entry town.

  Permit Process

  Documents required:

  • Passport or Voter ID

  Permit application is submitted. Processing usually completes same day or next morning.

  Hotel Check-in
  Stay overnight in Phuentsholing.

  Evening: Light Exploration
  Walk around border town.

  You will notice:

  Day 2: Transfer to Thimphu

  Once permit is issued, journey continues.

  Drive to Thimphu (5–6 Hours)

  Day 4: Transfer to Punakha via Dochula Pass

  Descending road. Climate becomes warmer.

  Day 5: Punakha Sightseeing and Transfer to Paro

  Drive to Paro

  Day 6: Tiger's Nest Monastery (Main Highlight)

  Pony ride available for part of route.
